are more than welcome (and encouraged!). More details to follow.

261 Forest Lake Rd
Chestertown, NY 12817

Closest airport: Albany International (1 hr)
Other airports: Burlington, VT (2 hours)
New York City area airports: JFK, LGA, & EWR (4 hours)

Cabin Info

The majority of the cabins at camp hold 6, 7, or 8 people. Most of the beds are bunk beds, but no one would need to be on a top bunk (unless you want to be!). The cabins are quite large and there is ample storage. All cabins have electricity, bathrooms, and showers. We will also be providing bedding, some towels, hand soap, night lights, and space heaters (if necessary). There are various cabin layouts, some being open rooms and some being more compartmentalized.

We slept on the mattresses for 2 nights, and we found them to be comfortable! Obviously these are not hotels and we want to be quite clear about that; it’s rustic! If you are up for staying in cabins, we’d love to have you. Plus, you will be on the camp grounds already for all of our wedding activities.

If you choose to stay at camp, when you check in on Friday you will receive your cabin assignment and be charged $50 per person per day (no charge for kids under 12). Forest Lake Camp accepts cash or check only.

There are also a limited number of private rooms available at camp. We will be reaching out to you individually about your preferences.

Hotel Info

If camp cabins aren’t your thing, that’s totally okay. Really, we want you to be as comfortable as you need for our wedding weekend. You are welcome at camp for all activities during the day and evenings.

  • Merrill Magee Inn: We have reserved some rooms here for Friday and Saturday night. The Inn is adults only (16+), and is located in Warrensburg, NY, only a short 10 minute drive away from the camp. Let us know ASAP if you are interested in one of these rooms and we will reserve one under your name.

I'm interested!

If the Merrill Magee fills up, or you would prefer to book your own accomodations, there are some nearby bed and breakfasts that we recommend:

We will help arrange transportation for Friday and Saturday nights. Please let us know which hotel you book.

What is the address of Forest Lake Camp?

Chestertown, NY 12817

From New York City, take 87 N to Exit 23, then get on US 9 N to Forest Lake Road.

From New England, take I-90 W to 87 N. Take Exit 23 off 87.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in starts on Friday at 3pm, and check-out is at 10am on Sunday.
How much does it cost to stay at camp?
$50 per night (kids under 12 are free). Camp details here.
Can I stay at a hotel?
What is the attire?
Wedding ceremony and reception attire is semi-formal cocktail attire. Anything you would typically wear to a typical late summer wedding. Shoes with heels may be more difficult to manage during the ceremony (which is on a field outdoors). All other dinners and events are casual. It's camp, bring your best flannel!
What is the weather like?
Late August in the Adirondacks is a real mixed bag: sometimes there is a heat wave, and sometimes it can be quite cold! Please pack layers.
I have a special diet. Can you accommodate?
Yes, but it’s very important we know in advance! All meals will include vegetarian options. If you require a vegan or gluten free meal, or have an allergy we need to be aware of, please fill that out on your RSVP.
Should I rent a car?
If you are flying in, renting a car and driving to the camp is your best bet. We are more than happy to help you coordinate a pick up with another guest. Just let us know your schedule!
Is there cell phone service?
Cell phone service is quite spotty around camp. It exists but it is not consistent, and varies by carrier (AT&T was decent).
Can I bring a dog?
Well behaved doggies are welcome. Please be advised: there are unleashed staff dogs that roam the camp. If you think there is even a chance your dog will have issues with other dogs or guests, we ask that you not risk any problems. Thanks in advance.
Can I drive around the camp?
Cars are not allowed on the camp roads. For luggage drop there will be golf carts and wheeled bins for assistance, but please park in the marked area. Off-roading is not allowed at camp.
Is there enough parking at Forest Lake Camp?
Yes! There is plenty of parking.

Registry

Thank you so much for thinking of us. We love wedding registries, and have had a fun time contributing to our friends' and families’ over the years. While we, too, are suckers for a good kitchen gadget, we have found that we already have most of the homewares that we need. Alternatively, we have selected two causes that are important to us, and a donation to them would be considered a meaningful gift to us:

While we feel very fortunate to be starting this next chapter of our lives with a solid foundation, there are many families across the world that cannot say the same. Please join us in making a donation to the International Rescue Committee, which provides foundations for families affected by humanitarian crises, political conflict, and natural disasters.

We also find protecting our world to be of paramount importance for all of us, especially now. You also have the option to donate to the Environmental Defense Fund, which provides non-partisan policy and action related to advancing the preservation of our magnificent planet.

From New York to Colorado

Lauren and Quentin met in New York City while both working for Trello. Casual work friends that brewed beer together turned into dating in spring of 2015. Since then, it has been a whirlwind of traveling, hiking, cooking, dog sitting, hanging with countless babies, the acquisition of our startup, brewing dozens of beers, and many, many trips to Minnesota, New Jersey, and Loon Lake (where we got engaged in July 2018).

While we loved New York City dearly, we found ourselves wanting to build a different foundation. So in August 2018 we put all of our belongings in a 15' truck, hitched our beloved Jetta to the back, and drove to Colorado to start a new adventure in Denver.
